Egypt, 5,000 policemen to secure second session of Morsy trial

The last trial was postponed to 8 January after Morsy and other Brotherhood members were shouted in protest that the trial was illegitimate.

The source also told Al-Masry Al-Youm on Tuesday that five thousand policemen and more than 30 armored vehicles will take part in securing the trial.

The security process includes transferring Morsy from Borg al-Arab prison to the Police Academy and then bringing him back via a military jet.

The source added that the military will also be involved in transferring Morsy.

It also includes securing the routes of other suspects from and to the academy, as well as securing the courtroom before and after the session.

The ministry imposed strict measures on the suspects who will be transferred via vehicles in collaboration with the traffic department.
